FAD KILLERS OF THE MONTH: ELLE FERGUSON & TASH SEFTON OF ‘THEY ALL HATE US’

FotoFlexer_Photo220When one hears the term ‘afternoon delight’ one might think of something sexual…maybe just me. But for Visual Merchandising Manager Elle Ferguson and Buyer Tash Sefton, it meant daily emails of images of fashion inspiration. What came out of this love of fashion besides a crashed server from too large emails is the internationally revered blog ‘They All Hate Us’. This Aussie dynamic duo has created a blog like no other I’ve ever seen. There is a constant flow of quotes, photos of street fashion, editorial, clothing, shoes, accessories and best of all their personal style; which in my opinion is the reason why people have fallen in love with their blog. Within the fashion blogosphere Tash and Elle are by far the most original and impeccably dressed bloggers! Like seriously people (moi included) are obsessed. I mean due to the volume of “where did you get that?” questions that they receive, they have created a shopping section to the blog where every month they post a few of their favorite items that are available for purchase. If that isn’t enough then you can get more of Tash and Elle at Vogue.au Spy Style where they are giving style advice.

As one of the founding members of Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland was usually seen dressed like her group members. But now as a solo artist and one of the judges on The X Factor, Kelly has been able to show her personality through her music and style. Kelly’s has a natural style that other female celebrities try and pull off but rarely execute, which is the sexy girl next door. Her style is fun, young, feminine, sexy, flirty and chic. She doesn’t shy away from showing a little skin or accentuating her curves, but when she does its always tasteful; Kelly  definitely knows how to dress for her body and the occasion. Whether she is  performing, on the red carpet, in a music video, in a magazine, judging or just showing off her street style, her wardrobe, hair and makeup always flows together perfectly.

FAD KILLER OF THE MONTH: BEYONCE

FotoFlexer_Photo146Ok, so whenever I pick a fad killer of the month I will usually give a brief bio of the person, but King B needs no introduction. In the beginning of her career, the public mostly seen Beyonce’s wardrobe matching her group Destiny’s Child. But when she began her solo career we got to see an individual style that has kept her on the best dressed list worldwide. With Destiny’s Child’s image already radiating sex appeal she also showed us an elegant, ladylike and modern side to her. But over the last couple of years I’ve notice that she has added an edge to her look, and I’m loving it! It is a feminine edge that few woman can pull off without looking too hip hop, punk rock or masculine. But then again Beyonce has seldom been seen on the who wore it best list. She is definitely a fashion leader and icon.
